Vermont Public Utility Commission announced on December 29, 2017 a proceeding to review the effectiveness of the standard-offer program. The goal of this proceeding is to develop an improved, transparent, and methodologically sound framework for selecting standard-offer plants that will benefit the operation of the distribution system while fulfilling the Commission’s statutory goal of the rapid deployment of standard-offer plants at the lowest feasible cost.
